Your right to erasure is protected under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019 (NDPR).

How It Works

The Deletion Process

Four straightforward steps from request to confirmation

01
Submit Your Request

Send your deletion request via email, WhatsApp, or our contact form with your name and contact details.

02
Identity Verification

We verify your identity to protect your privacy and prevent unauthorised deletions — usually within 5 business days.

03
Data Deleted

All eligible personal data is permanently removed from our active systems and third-party processors are notified.

04
Written Confirmation

You receive a written confirmation of what was deleted, and any data retained along with the legal reason for retention.

2 business days Acknowledgement of your request
5 business days Identity verification completed
21 calendar days Deletion fully completed
Same day Written confirmation sent

What Can Be Deleted

Your name, email address, and phone number from contact form submissions
Inquiry records and the content of messages you sent to us
Your newsletter subscription and preference data
Client account records (where no outstanding obligations remain)
Any personal profile information stored in connection with your use of our Site

What Must Be Retained

Some data must be retained by law, regardless of your request. When this applies, we restrict its use to that legal purpose only.

Invoices and financial records

Completed service/contract records

Records of legal complaints
Kept for: Duration + 1 year Dispute resolution
Data subject to a court order

Submit Your Deletion Request

01
Email (Preferred) Best for formal requests and audit trails

Send an email to talk@kblix.ng with the subject line:

Data Deletion Request — [Your Full Name]

Include in the body:

  • Your full name
  • Email address or phone number used when contacting us
  • Brief description of the data you want deleted
  • A copy of a government-issued ID (for verification)
02
WhatsApp Quick and conversational

Send a WhatsApp message to +2349010101215 with:

"I would like to request deletion of my personal data. My name is [Full Name] and the email/phone I used is [details]."

Our team will guide you through the rest of the process via WhatsApp.

03
Contact Form Via our website

Visit kblix.ng/contact and submit a message with:

  • Subject: Data Deletion Request
  • Your name and contact details to be removed
  • A note indicating this is a formal request under the NDPA/NDPR
Open Contact Form
Identity Verification Required To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorised deletions, we require one of the following: a photo of a valid government-issued ID (NIN slip, National ID card, Driver's Licence, International Passport, or Voter's Card), OR confirmation of details only you would know (e.g. exact email address, project name, or invoice number). Your ID will be securely deleted once verification is complete.

What "Deleted" Means in Practice

Active Databases Records permanently removed from our live databases and CRM systems.
Backup Systems Purged at the next scheduled backup cycle — typically within 30 days.
Mailing Lists Hard-removed from newsletter lists, not merely unsubscribed.
Third-Party Systems Processors who hold your data on our behalf (e.g. email services, analytics) are notified to delete your data.

You will receive a written confirmation once deletion is complete, specifying what was deleted and noting any data retained with the legal reason for retention.

Just want to stop receiving emails?

Unsubscribing from marketing is different from a full data deletion request. Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any KBLIX email, or send us a message — it's instant. If you want all of your data removed, follow the full process above.
